Well if you want there is a package for emacs that lets you write your config in Python then it cross compiles it to elisp. AND YES ORG MODE. only reason I haven't gone back. Well that and emacs does it all

Its better to start the macro with 'I' instead of 'i', so that you can start the macro anywhere on the line (the cursor doesnt have to be in the first position)

Do you have a video on getting started with Neovim for intermediate to advanced VIM users? I've used VIM forever and would like to get into Neovim, but I'm not really sure what the differences are or where to start. I haven't found anything good on RUclips yet, most videos are aimed at complete vim/neovim beginners. Just an idea :)

I love all of these videos with "as a software developer" in the title. If you have time to make all of these videos then you are not keeping up to date with technology to be a "real" software developer.

As Python developer diving intgo go I like it as it introduces you to low level features and better performance but without sacrifice readibility and friendly sintax

Ansible is awesome and highly worth digging a bit more into. Playbooks are a collection of Tasks that you want done, but in a nice templated way. Kind of like a checklist. A Task is a Module being run (a big Python script) that is expecting some sort of input, like installing a package with apt-get. The input it might be looking for is: `name: neovim` - the name of the package (or a variable pointing to a list of packages) `state: latest` - specifying that you want the latest. `become: true` - usually used to elevate the command to sudo You just effectively ran `sudo apt update -y && sudo apt install neovim` If you no longer want neovim, change the state to `state: absent` meaning you want it gone! If it's there, it will get removed and Ansible will report `changed=1`, if it's not it will just report `ok=1` These playbooks can target a single or many systems at a time. Either explicitly by listing the host, or by building a group called say "ubuntu" and listing your U,buntu hosts under it. Ansible performs an SSH connection to your Ubuntu VM's, and uses the target system's python environment to run the task given with the proper variables in place from your checklist of To-Do's (Tasks). It's excellent for managing multiple systems because it can be run (if written properly) 1 or 100 times and will ensure what config items you've specified are set and ONLY changing something when need be.

You should try cachyOS (Arch Linux). They have their own repos with precompiled CPU optimised packages and the performance boost been has very significant for me.
